That's' only if you want them OUTSIDE OF an active tool. If your plugin has a custom tool, then your tool can register for keystrokes when it is active and Acrobat will happily send then to you.

For the record, in the Windows Hook implementations that I have found Acrobat does not happily send me anything at all!: I grab it myself in a demonstration of rather nasty and rude behavior. :-) The...

Well, Acrobat doesn't need to register hooks, it will be sent keyboard events as regular Windows messages. Hooks are a way of getting at other people's message queues. You do need to call...

This is why your tool should simply be registering a standard tool event handler and NOT using things like Windows hooks.

So, all this time when you were talking about registering my handler, you actually meant: "Registering before the Adobe Registrar" as opposed to: "Registering before the Microsoft Registrar"?? I had no...

I have never had any difficulties opening and seeing more than one PDF. How do you open them - what API do you use? And what do you mean "display as black"? A screen shot might assist.

Screen shot attached. Originally opened pdf behind with 2nd pdf open in front. If both pdfs are closed then the 2nd reopened by itself it opens fine. Sorry but not sure about what API I'm using
