Thanks for the concern/suggestion. I should clarify the entire setup more clearly, though. We have a database program that scans a specific network drive for the PDF files and if they are in the correct format and in the correct location, this program moves that file to it's secure intranet database and attaches it to the patient's file. Also, not every computer will be set to automatically send pdfs to this folder. There will be certain computers set up for the signing of patient forms that when the patient signs the form, it is sent to this network drive, then scanned by the database program, and then moved again into the secure location. No computer will have access to delete the files except for the database server itself. Also, I'm not quite sure how many computers this will need to be on at the moment, but I do know that most of the computers that will be used don't really need the functions of Acrobat and that it could get very expensive very quickly if they had to have it just for this plug in. We may have to standardise to Acrobat, but if it is possible, it is preferred that we use Reader for most of the computers.
