Yes, you are correct. I tried it and it was working even when its un-ticked.
but I also have another question. I just tried this on my mobile phone (iOS) using Acrobat DC and it seems to not work. When I select "Other" the hidden field remains hidden but works perfectly on desktop. do you know the reason why? or is this more of a mobile app issue?
