PDF preview doesn't come to 'front'

I just upgraded to Win 7-32 bit.  I am using Acrobat Pro 9.

Previously when I created a pdf from a word document the preview would come to the front of the word document.  Now it goes to an icon in the taskbar and I have to click on it to view it.

This is probably an easy solution, but I am exhausted from scouring the internet for a solution.

HELP!!!!!!
