I must add that I have been running my cases in two environments:
- Windows Acrobat SDK
- Linux Adobe Library.
What I claim to be the "data[i]" bug (?) is present in both.
Here's an example: I create a minimal shape with Illustrator. It contains 1 horizontal line a 1/4 of circle (Bezier). When you save it with Illustrator, it creates THREE paths, the last one being 'c' Bezier junk. Interestingly, if I "Save As..." (as opposed to "Save") all the junk (Free Cos objects) is eliminated and the last (junk) Bezier disappears.
