No, not at all. I don't understand why you refer to this as "generic and useless 'documentation'". It is the documentation you will need. We often try to give the answer people need rather than the one they ask for, it's an old fashioned habit we have.
To give literal answers to the best of my ability
- Are the above mentioned DLLs the correct tool to achieve my goal? I don't know, because I don't use interfaces by DLL names. If they offer interfaces in the documentation, and that does what you want, yes. Otherwise no.
- If no, what is the best way? I would normally use the Distiller API. Specifically, set a registry key then print to Adobe PDF. The registry bypasses your prompt.
- If yes, how do I install them on the other computers? Are they part of some free product or are they part of a product that I need to purchase? You buy Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Acrobat Standard. They are not part of a free product.
